Fix err_empty_response – No Data Received on Google Chrome
Getting the err_empty_response error in Google Chrome? Here’s how to fix this error! 😀
Just two days earlier, I was getting this error while trying to open up my website – Clash of Guide. I knew it was not my hosting issue, so I found a solution to this error. This fix works for WordPress, Chrome, Firefox, IE, Drupal, PHP, Ajax, YouTube, and other websites.

I read a few forums and found many solutions which seemed not to work. Therefore, I tried researching for a while, and found one most used trick that would fix the err_empty_response error!
The “err_empty_response – no data received” error is caused your internet connection. It’s not caused by the web server of the websites, and as I’m managing a web server as a webmaster, I contacted the web hosting company and confirmed that it’s my network issue. 🙂

Fix err_empty_response – no data received
There are two easy to follow methods to fix this error! 😀
Solution 1: Fix ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE using CMD
I found a list of commands which would reset your network connection and this the error. I prefer trying this fix as mine was fixed using Command Prompt.
- Run Command Prompt as Admin.
- Run all the commands listed:
- Restart your PC.
Solution 2: Change your DNS Addresses
I have found another solution which worked for many people. This involves changing your DNS addresses of your network adapter. It’s pretty simple and easy to follow. 😉
- Open “Network and Sharing Center“.
- Right-click on Network Adapter.
- Click on ‘Properties‘.
- Move to the Networking tab.
- Double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
- Use the following DNS addresses:
Preferred DNS Server: 188.8.131.52
Alternate DNS Server:184.108.40.206
Both the “No data receive err empty response” and “Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE)” are same and as a result, these methods work for both of the errors. So, that’s how you fix the err_empty_response error in Windows PC.
